	Operations is the physical logistics component of GRM. It is Operations that puts the boxes and tapes on the shelves, moves items between locations, does deliveries and scans boxes and tapes. We break operations down into two categories, Facility Operations and Transportation Operations. Facility Operations Facility Operations is based at the Records Center and works with the Operations Manager to handle all activity within the facility. Our facility staff is responsible for retrieving items for service requests as well as for shelving items picked up from clients. They do project work such as repacking files, validations and special client projects. Facility Operations also conducts regular audits of the Records Center to ensure the accuracy of the system. The team fills out reports to account for every box placed on a shelf and scans every box, tape and case to a location, downloading this information into our system. Transportation Operations Transportation Operations performs all services to our clients and manages our fleet of vehicles. Whether it is picking up, delivering, or performing a tape rotation, it is this team that securely transports your tapes or files between your offices and the security of GRM's Records Center. They scan all items they pickup or deliver and produce a receipt for you from a portable printer listing all items scanned. These are then downloaded to our system upon return to our records center and this information is compared to the drivers' reports to make sure all items are accounted for. Transportation and Facility Operations work together to manage the loading and unloading process as well as the handover of items. Every service for that day is loaded into the drivers' scanners and every item must be validated by the driver to ensure that the correct item is being delivered. Ensuring Accuracy Everything the operations team does is documented in hand written reports and through scanning barcodes.
